Mission
Akula’s mission is to turn ordinary kids into language experts who will excel in school now and succeed in life later. We bring them on a journey along with masters of literature to a world of words. On this journey, students learn to dissect words, play with them, and connect them together to create written works of art and passionate readers.
Our
Approach
With grammar and vocabulary not being the focus in the current curriculum system, we are passionate about providing necessary skills that lead to language mastery.
Our program offers a multi-year journey beginning, at minimum, in grade 3. Language study is similar to constructing a building. First, we must build a strong foundation and build on it one floor at a time. This analogy applies to Langauge study as well, with the first year being the foundational year, and each progressive year adding onto that foundation. At the end of all the levels, students will develop skills that they will benefit from well into university level education.
Our
Programs
At present, most schools approach language education by separating concepts into various branches of education. In addition, having almost entirely removed grammar and vocabulary from skill building, students are left with a superficial understanding of the art of language.
Our program provides students an academic experience using a whole learning approach built on five core foundations. Not only do we teach various aspects of language, each area is interconnected, so students practice their skills constantly.
